Nicole Young

Nicole Young is the Executive Director of the Marquette County Convention and Visitors Bureau. The organization leads travel and tourism marketing efforts to positively impact economic development in Marquette County. Over the past two years, Nicole and her team have re-branded Travel Marquette with an upscale look and feel including a new logo, made crucial improvements to the bureau’s web and social media presence, and relocated the organization to a premiere downtown Marquette location. A targeted marketing program consisting of print, radio and digital have contributed to an overall increase in Marquette County hotel revenue and occupancy rates in 2015 and 2016.
Nicole has a background in advertising and corporate marketing and communications. In addition, she has owned several lodging facilities, including a bed & breakfast and a motel. She is the author of three novels and the mother of four grown children. She holds a degree in Communication Arts from Oakland University..
